General Information

The mission of the Marvin K. Peterson Library  is to support the academic programs of the University by providing information, resources, and a wide range of library services.

This Libguide explains the print and electronic course reserves services available to the University's faculty, and the course reserves policy that guides these services.

Upon request, library staff will photocopy and scan material that is to be placed on print or electronic course reserves.  We will also move links to the course reserves readings to the instructor's course in Blackboard.

Faculty are responsible for evaluating whether the use of a copyrighted work requires permission from the copyright holder or falls under fair use. Library staff can assist you with this process. If copyright permission must be obtained, it is the instructor's responsibility for obtaining copyright permission and for paying any associated fees.

Please visit the yellow tabs at the top of this guide for more detailed information, or use the quick links on the right.

The Marvin K. Peterson Library provides course-related reserves services to support teaching and learning activities at the University of New Haven.

Electronic course reserves are accessed via Blackboard; print reserves material may be checked out by students with a valid UNH ID at the Circulation Desk in the Library. To view which material is on reserves in the Library, please use the Course Reserves tab in the catalog, searching by instructor, department or course name.
