Make the Impossible Possible selected

“A successful life is not something
you simply pursue,
it is something that you create,
moment by moment.”
- Bill Strickland
After considering a number of titles nominated by University of New Haven faculty, students, and staff, the Common Read 2011 Committee chose Make the Impossible Possible: One Man's Crusade to Inspire Others to Dream Bigger and Achieve the Extraordinary by Bill Strickland with Vince Rause. The Committee was seeking books that allow for meaningful issues to be raised, were thematically rich, have interesting characters, promote reading as a pleasurable activity, are hopeful and upbeat, and can be discussed across many academic disciplines. Make the Impossible Possible fit the bill in each of these criteria. This book was the unanimous choice of students who read the book.
All UNH faculty, students and staff are encouraged to read Make the Impossible Possible, attend scheduled events and engage in discussion around the important issues of the book.
